Naturalized Plants NGV Wrap Scarf
Naturalized Plants was commissioned by the National Gallery of Victoria for the NGV TRIENNIAL 2020. The images on this wallpaper comprise a pattern of roses
and other non-native plants representing European ideals
materialised in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne,
along with fruits and flowers from the streets of inner-city
Collingwood. The pattern of images from photographs by
the artists simultaneously represent colonisers’ social
constructs regarding the ‘naturalisation’ of plants, as well
as the adaptive powers of introduced species conducive
to urban and rural environments.
The wrap scarf is made from a loose weave cotton that is soft, breathable and extra comfortable. This style is finished with a double turn hem. 28" x 80”, 100% Cotton Gauze / Made in Shanghai / Machine wash cold and hang dry. Do not iron or bleach.
100% of the proceeds from the Wrap Scarves go to planting fruit trees in public space for everyone to share and The Endless Orchard.
