The ‘Dogwood’ Wrap is created from the wallpaper pattern created for the main dining room at Proof On Main, a 21c Museum Hotel commissioned installation artwork, “The Practices Of Everyday Life.” Drawing from flora and fauna in the area of Louisville, Kentucky, . This pattern is created from images taken by the artists on the country roads outside of Louisville, the artists searched for days for the most red colored dogwood they could find. Their is a creationist myth about the red blossomed dogwoods. The Cherokee told the story of a princess and a brave who loved her; when she refused his advances, he attacked her. According to the legend, the dying princess used the blossoms of a dogwood to soak up her blood.
